Crisper Glass Shattered While Cleaning
Since it was apparent the crisper glass is fragile I was very careful to not stress it. I opened the box then took a large board almost as big and slid it on. I carried both items to the fridge and with both doors open slid the glass into place. I am 65 yrs. Old and have owned many refrigerators but this is a first. They don't build them like they use to. .

the crisper cover which covers both crispers broke in a million pieces as i was cleaning it in my sink
well, first, after calming down i removed the glass from my sink (this took a half hour). then i went to the computer and looked for jenn-air parts. the part-select site came up. the site was very easy to use and although i usually leave things like this for my husband to do i decided to order the part myself, which i did. the trick was finding something on hand to cover the tops of the crispers which were both full of vegetables. i innovated and used a shallow broiler pan and its lid which covered 90% of both the crispers. the part came in five days unwrapping the part was easy, cleaned it with windex (no sink soaking this time) and inserted it on top of crispers............totally easy!!!!!

Shattered glass shelf insert
Thank you for the prompt delivery. I thought it was going to be a big problem to get a replacement shelf, but I ordered online and had my part in 3 days! Very easy to insert. Did lay carton on the floor and pulled out the insert. At 83 my strength isn't what is used to be, but it came out pretty easy. I am beyond thrilled with the service. Thank you.

My glass crisper cover shattered to pieces while washing it and didn’t use hot water and it never hit anything Sharp could it be a defect on this model. I have cleaned many many many of these glass covers and never had this happen.

Hello Dianne, thank you for your question. This happens sometimes. Usually is it caused by a rapid change in temperature. There could have been a small defect or crack in the glass and with the change in temp might have cause it to shatter.

Can't find parts 20 and 37 and cost ? Why

I was cleaning my fridge and took this shelf out to place it in the sink for cleaning. It exploded into a million tiny pieces as I was moving it to the sink. I didn't hit it on anything or use hot water. I was literally just holding it in mid-air and was suddenly covered in shards of glass. Is this a known issue with this model?

Hello Tamara, Thank you for the question. Normally this is caused by a unknown defective in the glass and changing it from the Cold air to the Warm air. This is not a known issue for this model but it is known to happen for any glass shelf for refrigerators. We hope this helps!
