Regarding water filter: When closing the bottom it doesn't stay closed. Don't know what to order for this.

My water filter leaks with the filter in or the bypass in. It drips at the filter connect point what part needs to be replaced. I have tried mutipal filters.

I received my water filter backing plate, #PS11743466 for my refrigerator, however how do I remove the old one? I'm afraid to pull too hard and have something else happen.

Hi Debbie, thank you for contacting us. The filter backing plate is held in by four locking tabs, two in the front, and two in the rear. You may pull it down on the edge a little and then get on the top of it with a putty knife. You will see the locking tab, press the tabs and pull it down and do the same with the rear one. Once you have removed the tabs, then you can easily replace the filter backing plate. We hope this information is useful!

Water slowly coming out replaced filter worked for 2 days I’m sure I need a new part that the filter press up to release the water.

If the filter is leaking or is slow to come out of the dispenser, then we would recommend checking the filter head, the dispenser actuator, the waterline guide behind the actuator and the reservoir for any clogs or visible damage. I have an Amana bottom mount french door refrigeration, model afd2535des, s/n 11984579gn. Need replacement for the cradle that holds the water filter, plastic prong broke off and it will not close flush up to the top of fridge. The cover is fine, just the part the filter lays in.
