How is this part positioned on the plastic washer? Does the mouth of the clip face the vertical leg of the plastic washer?

Hi Dave, thank you for the question. The metal clip and the plastic washer actually go under the agitator. The plastic washer leg goes into the opening in the drive block so when you set it down it sits flat, and the metal clip snaps onto the agitator shaft. The position of the metal clip can be in any direction. We hope this information is useful!

Thank you for your inquiry. There are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the agitator directional cogs, the direct drive motor coupling, the agitator, the thrust spacer, the clutch assembly and the gearcase. I hope this helps. Does it just rest on top of the agitator washer? Or does it actually clip on to something?

What does the spanner nut the clip and the washer do?

Hello Joe, thank you for your question. This Agitator Clip PS11741195 for your model holds the bottom of the Agitator to the Spanner Nut PS11738884 which is a right hand threaded nut holds the tub in place in direct drive.
what is the purpose of agitator clip # 3354845 ? Does it just keep the washer (agitator) location down on the spanner nut and basket post?
