Does this model have an automatic "by-pass" if water filter is not installed or must a "cap" be used as a replacement for the water filter to prevent water leakage without a filter?

I replaced the water filter and the replace filter light is still blinking?

We would recommend checking the water filter housing assembly for any clogs, you may have to pull the filter out and reinsert it to make sure it is snapped incorrectly. Check the tubing for any cracks or clogs, and check the tubing going from the water inlet valve for any cracks or clogs. If there is no debris clogging the tubes, then test the water inlet valve with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you.
