Hi Kristen, thank you for getting in touch. Based on the description you have provided, we would suggest checking the dryer cycling thermostat, part number PS8714428. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this sorts out your problem!
the dryer drum will spin sometimes. when it doesn't spin, it makes a humming noise. sometimes when i manually turn the dryer drum it will start spinning after I close the door and push the start button. I purchased the unit new back in May 2010. It's a Bosch WTA4410us dryer.
Thank you for your time
For model number WTA4410US
Hello Walker, Thank you for contacting us. Researching your model, we would recommend checking the drive motor, and the belt. Good luck with your repair.
If your Bosch dryer isn't heating, open the back of the dryer and there is a temp sensor that if it gets too hot, it trips. push the red button to reset. If it trips again, check all your vent tubes for lint build up. If after cleaning it still trips, you may need to replace the heat sensor. After tripping a few times it will get weak. Order a new sensor and replace it. Only two screws and two quick connect wires.
