I changed water inlet valve I defrosted it cleaned and emptyed the defrost tray and coil when I turned it on I harvested one tray water line looks ok help me please what's next
For model number WRQA59CNKZ

Hello Mickey, thank you for getting in touch. An ice maker requires the freezer to be properly cooled before it starts the next batch of ice. The ice freezer must be at or below 10°F (ideally around 0°F). It generally takes 2 to 24 hours for a newly defrosted ice maker to fully stabilize and start pumping out consistent batches of ice. Because you replaced the valve and defrosted the system, ensure the ice maker is actually getting water. After it completes the harvest cycle, listen for water filling the tray. If the tray is dry, the water line feeding the ice maker might be kinked or still frozen inside the "fill tube". Gently thaw the fill tube with a hairdryer. We hope this helps.

Can you explain how to put our frig into vacation mode and what it will do? Our owners manual is very confusing, talking about 30 degrees and emptying out food and drinks. Does this mode just shut off the power or set a energy saving mode? I can just pull a breaker too, if that's ok ? Thank you for your time and effort, Tim
For model number WRQA59CNKZ

Hi Tim, thank you for the question. In vacation mode, the freezer will defrost less often to conserve energy. Yes, you can turn off the breaker as well. If you choose to turn off the refrigerator before you leave. Remove all the food from the refrigerator. If your refrigerator has an automatic ice maker. Turn off the water supply to the ice maker at least one day ahead of time. When the last load of ice drops, raise the wire shutoff arm to the OFF (up) position or press the switch to OFF. Empty the ice bin. Turn off the Temperature control(s). Clean the refrigerator, wipe it, and dry well. Tape rubber or wood blocks to the tops of both doors to prop them open far enough for air to get in. This stops odor and mold from building up. Glad to be of help!
