WRF555SDFZ Whirlpool Refrigerator - Instructions

stick the very small screw driver in the hole on the left side cover and lift up to release the keeper tab,pull out to expose the wire connecter.insert the small screw driver in the slot on the left side to release the tab while pulling apart the two connectors.tuck the wires tight to side and pull out the ice maker.I thought I was getting the whole ice maker assembly,but just got a part of it,so I had take it apart and put it back together.the hardest thing to change over was the stop lever arm that senses the level of ice in the bin.after all this,it didn't work at all.not happy around here.back to filling ice trays

Got lucky ordered new ice maker then current one started working again ???????

I was hesitant to remove old seal, after I removed, I lined up new seal, and the seal popped into the slots very easily. Easy repair, no tools, worked great. The seal takes about 24 hour to seat itself for a great fit.

Replaced motor it was not issue. Now I am stuck with a $300 motor I cannot return. When I say will not dispense ice everyone thinks it does not make ice. Auger does not turn to push ice out the door. Reason I thought it was auger motor when you push lever on door the auger turns about one eight of a turn. So, it would seem it is getting signal and power. Cannot find any articles on this specific issue. If anyone has a suggestion, please share.

The repair went well. Before I ordered this ice tray assemble, I replaced the water inlet valve thinking that was the problem. The new ice tray came with 2 new wiring harnesses. It wasn't hard to see which one was needed for the new system. Changing the tray out was not hard at all nor was the new electrical harness. The only problem was the inlet valve sent too much water into the ice tray. After seeing the ice tray leaking, I removed it again to see why. The only thing I could come up with was too much water was being put into the ice tray. I had the old inlet valve and reinstalled it and the ice maker has worked flawlessly ever since. There was nothing wrong with the old inlet valve only the ice tray assembly.
So all good and doing a great job once again.

Googled how to replace door gaskets and watched a video and did what it said and was so easy. took longer to remove everything and the shelves and storage bins and wash down the refrigerator than replace the door gaskets.

took me less than 5min. to replace inlet valve.
an cleaned my frig at the same time that took me longer to do.

Unscrewed outer cover, unhooked old light's board, hooked up new board, re-installed outer cover. Not really much to this.

Open the existing cover and carefully with the thumb and index fingers, pry the cover at over the left pin and remove the cover. Place the replacement onto the right pin and pry the left placing it over the left and you are done.

Took off old one and just replaced new, very easy and corrected problems!

Changed the ice and Water filter, works great...

Really easy, simple instructions, and it was on my doorstep 3 days after I ordered. Much simpler than dealing with the appliance store, where I'd have to drive to the store, order the filter, wait 7-10 days, and return to pick it up. Ughh! Internet is the way to go!

Removed the ice tray with nut driver underneath after removing and unplugging ice machine. Then by remembering, unplugged the necessary electric connectors because electric worked well(replaced electric last time I got a new assembly). Plugged in electric needed, not all (again I'm saying that), then fit back assembly with nut driver underneath.

Pulled the unit out after reminding myself how to do so on the internet.

Replaced bad assembly with new. Not for the average person, some basic mechanical know-how needed.

unscrewed old filter, screwed in new....good to go!
