Unit was surging and quitting - lights flashing to resume. Display showed it was washing again. Then blinked and went off. Let it sit a few minutes. The lights came back on started again and then quit. Now nothing. No display. Dead.

Hello Steve, Thank you for your inquiry. There may have been a power surge and/or the dishwasher has tripped the circuit breaker. If you haven't already done so, disconnect the power to the dishwasher, let it sit for 10 minutes, and then reconnect it. Check for any error codes as you reconnect the power. If the display still does not come back on, you can check to see if it is an issue with the control board or touchpad by doing the following: after disconnecting the power to the dishwasher and leaving the door open, unplug the control panel/touchpad from the control board. Leaving the door open, power up the dishwasher. Wait 10 minutes and then shut the door. If the issue was with the control panel, the dishwasher will recognize that and turn the drain pump on. If the drain pump does not come on, then the issue is with the control board. Good luck with your repair.

Why did the lower spray arm dislodge and fall on the hot element then melt? This is the second arm that i have purchased.
For model number WDF520PADB7
PartSelect logo
Hello Geraldine, Thank you for your inquiry. It is possible that where it attaches on the cover support has been damaged and the spray arm is not snapping in securely. We would recommend checking the cover support for any visible damage and replace if needed. We hope this helps and if you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!

Should there be a bottom gasket on the door to prevent leaking? Can one be added and if so what do you recommend?
For model number WDF520PADB7
PartSelect logo
Hello Louis, thank you for asking. There is a gasket that comes only attached to the Inner door PS16543464. If its leaking from the underneath, it could be the Drain Hose PS2358130 has come loose. Or, check to see if the Water Inlet Valve PS12578165 is functioning correctly. We have installation videos for both parts for you watch. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
