I would like to know how to change the belt on this Hoover upright convertible. All the videos I watch show the belts on the outside area of the machine but this particular model has a belt that broke in the middle of the roller brush bar. I cannot figure out how to replace this type of belt. Pictures would be wonderful! Thank you for any help you can give me otherwise I will have to throw this machine out and I really cannot afford to do that.

Hello Judi, thank you for your inquiry. The belt on your Hoover cleaner causes the brush roll to rotate and is important for the effective operation of your cleaner. To remove, step on the handle release pedal and place the vacuum cleaner in the lowest position. Turn cleaner over. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the seven screws and lift off the bottom plate. Remove the roller from the belt. Dislocate the belt from the pulley and insert a new belt.
