SVD48600BC Jenn-Air Range - Instructions

Simply removed the front burner using 1/4 incn nutdriver on
two screws.placed new burner in position and tightenwd two screws.
Simplest and easiest job I ever did!
Works as new!

1) Unplug Appliance
2) Remove stove front (4 hex-head screws)
(Note: support front while removing screws)
3) disconnect (3) wiring harnesses
(Note: exercise care when revoving "data bus", release with small "dogs" on each side of plug.)
4) Remove Clock assembly (2 hex-head screws)
5) Replace Clock assembly (2 hex-head screws)
6) Reconnect (3) wiring harnesses (reseat bus plug dogs)
7) Reattach stove front (4 hex-head screws)
8) Plug appliance in to power outlet

Note: Before the repair, all functions and displays worked just fine, they just weren't illuminated so you couldn't read any thing. It really steams me that I had to pay $141 to replace a 50 cent light.

Removed the old coil and plugged in the new. 2 screws held the coil into oven connector.

took out old one and after straightening out the significant bends in the metal frame holding the screen, that were caused by shipping the screen in too flimsy of a container, I installed this into the range.

lifted the top center panel off removed old filter installed new easy peesy

EXTREMELY simple - drop in. AND- the part cost less than half the price quoted by appliance vendor...2 years earlier !!! This site is a marvelous resource for parts one can install with minimal skill.

Pulled out old one and slipped in the new one.

Extremely simple repair to make. Move stove away from wall and disconnect power. Remove the oven racks. Remove the rear sheet metal panel covering the wiring harnesses. Caution: Sharp edges and corners on sheet metal.Sensor is located in upper left corner on rear oven wall. Using a long-shafted #2 Philips screwdriver, remove the two Philips head screws and gently pull the sensor 1" away from the oven wall. At this point, it will help to have an assist from someone while you are behind the range. Have the assistant gently tug on the sensor while you watch for wires moving on the rear of the range. After locating the sensor wires, gently disconnect the plastic connector clip. Note: plastic connectors become brittle with age and exposure to heat Move to front of range and gently remove sensor from rear wall by pulling the wiring through the oven wall. Before inserting the new sensor wire through the oven wall, "dry fit" the wiring connectors to see that the new sensor is a correct connection. Make connection, and secure the sensor to the rear oven wall with the two screws. Install racks, reinstall rear sheet metal panel, and connect the power. Set the oven baking temperature to a moderately low temp, 300 - 350 deg. to test the new sensor.

just removed two screws - took old unit out - put new unit in.

I went on line on Sunday. I identified the part needed ordered it on line and it was delivered on Tuesday at 7:30AM. Incredibly easy, fast and reasonably priced.

Remove old filter- put in new filter. EASY!!!!!!!!

1. Removed knobs and front panel. Disconnect wiring.
2. Order part and installed. Done

Loosened the contol panel until I was able to get to the Digital Display board.
Removed the three cables and the screws that held the display unit to the control panel.
Reversed the procedure to instll new digital clock display unit.

piece of cake KILL POWER AT BREAKER BOX. Remove burner knobs exposing 4 screws. Open oven door exposing 4 philips srews, four 1/4 hex head screws, and 2 philps screws for end caps. Had to pull out range about an inch (less) away from countertop. Remove screws. Move end caps away from face plate.Pull out face plate. Pull down / out bottom plate to expose Assembly. Unclip wire connection, carefully pull out ribbon connection. Remove 2 screws. Install in reverse.

My microwave is stacked on this stove. I had to pull cover off to slide part off. screws were a snap. only problem was the slip catches on the ribon strips. Sperating with flat head was scary but worked fine.
