How do i defrost the ice maker
For model number RF34H9960S4
Hi Tammy,
Thank you for your question. According to your owner's manual, to put the refrigerator in the defrost mode, press and hold the "Freezer Key" and the "Control Test Key" at the same time for 6 seconds. Once you have done this the "ALL ON/OFF" will blink with 0.5 interval for 4 seconds. Then once you have removed your fingers, press the control lock button and it will change to a test mode and the display on the front panel will go off. After 15 seconds, press the Test Key button, follow this sequence Forced Operation (FF) - CoolSelect Room OFF Forced Operation (OF c) - 2 Comp Simultaneous Forced Operations (Fr) - Forced F/CV/R (Fan) Defrosting (Fd) Test Key : Fridge, Freezer, Cool Select, Control Lock. Here is a link to your owner's manual for more information, https://www.manualslib.com/products/Samsung-Rf34h9960s4-Aa-6912843.html. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day.

How can we adjust the temperature of the lower right drawers of the refrigerator? Everything is freezing in each drawer! Thank you!
For model number RF34H9960S4
Hello Wendy, thank you for getting in touch. The cool-select button lets you set the cool-select room on the bottom right of your refrigerator to one of the four settings: freezer, soft freezing, chill, or cool. We would suggest making sure that the recommended setting is selected. We hope this helps.

Our freezer is freezing to the temperature we have set with no problems. The upper fridge section will only cool down to 46 degrees and took days to get to that. The compressors are working but the fans in the refrigerator are not kicking in. Any suggestions on what would be causing that?
For model number RF34H9960S4
Hello Nicole, Thank you for the question. If the Evaporator Fan in the Freezer is not running it can not circulate the Cold Air to the Fresh Food Section. The Motor should be replaced. We hope this helps!
The refrigerator door lock thing in the inside is broken so the fridge doors are not closing properly. Is there a part for that?
For model number RF34H9960S4
Hello Menahal, Thank you for contacting us. We have researched the model you have provided and have found the part you are looking for is PartSelect Number PS9604451 for the Refrigerator Flipper Pivot Block. We hope this information is useful!
This is the Samsung French door refrigerator style that so many people have complained about freezing up and not cooling the top section. I first changed out the defrost thermostat and this did not correct the problem. I done a quick resistance check on the temp sensor that's mounted on the evaporator itself. The resistance would change when holding an ice cube on the sensor so I just assumed it was ok. PLEASE TAKE NOTE: When performing a resistance check on this sensor, make sure your readings match the Samsung temp/resistance chart in their literature. My sensor was way off calibration and was causing the freeze up. Its working as designed now and DW is happy again. Learn from my mistake.
Partselect made the repair process incredibly easy by linking a how-to video that explained exactly what to do. Without the video, I was trying to take the whole washer apart, but the video noted a convenient opening that provided easy access. This is my second experience with Partselect, and I am definitely a fan. How you can maintain a stockpile of parts for so many appliances (as well as providing installation guidance for at least some items) is remarkable. Thanks.
