Interior lighting stopped working. Is this an easy fix
For model number RF23HCEDBSR
Hello Glenn, Thank you for the question. Most customers have been able to perform the repair on their own and is normally held in place by two screws. We hope this helps!
my refrig makes a humming noise but stops when you open door
For model number RF23HCEDBSR
Hi Verna, thank you for contacting us. According to our research, the issue is probably with the evaporator fan motor, part number PS9603956. Before replacing the evaporator fan, we suggest checking if the fan blades are clogged with debris, or if the motor is acting strangely. If the blades seem dirty, inspect them and clean them. Ice accumulation around the fan blades is also one of the most common causes of this type of noise. If there is ice around the fan blades, remove the ice and the noise by manually defrosting the fan to fix the ice issue. We hope this sorts out your problem!
Control panel keeps flashing. Fridge working but can't adjust anything

Hello Randolph, Thank you for the question. You can try to reset the power to the appliance. Just unplug the appliance for 5 mins and this should reset the controls. We hope this helps!

The sides of the ice maker are frosting up witch gets the ice cubes stuck in between the ice maker and the interior wall of the ice maker. What could be the problem?
For model number RF23HCEDBSR
Hello Robert, Thank you for writing. Frost indicates that there is a source of warm air seeping in and reacting to the cold air. You can check the Ice Chute Cap Gasket PartSelect Number PS4151634 or replace the complete Ice Guide Assembly (which includes the gasket) PartSelect Number PS8753308. Good luck with your repair.
This is the Samsung French door refrigerator style that so many people have complained about freezing up and not cooling the top section. I first changed out the defrost thermostat and this did not correct the problem. I done a quick resistance check on the temp sensor that's mounted on the evaporator itself. The resistance would change when holding an ice cube on the sensor so I just assumed it was ok. PLEASE TAKE NOTE: When performing a resistance check on this sensor, make sure your readings match the Samsung temp/resistance chart in their literature. My sensor was way off calibration and was causing the freeze up. Its working as designed now and DW is happy again. Learn from my mistake.
OPENED THE LEFT SIDE REFRIGERATOR DOOR WHERE THE DEFECTIVE MECHANISM WAS. GOT UP ON THE FIRST STEP OF THE STEP STOOL,REMOVED THE PHILLIPS HEAD RETAINING SCREW FROM THE BROKEN PART.PUT THE NEW CLOSING MECHANISM IN PLACE AND RE-INSTALLED THE PHILLIPS HEAD SCREW. STEPPED DOWN FROM THE STEP STOOL AND SHUT THE REFRIGERATOR DOOR.
