what is causing all food in the frig to freeze

Hi Edward, thank you for the question. If your refrigerator is freezing food, the temperature is set too low. Raise the temperature a few degrees to fix the problem. If this does not help, you will need to replace the temperature sensor, part number PS4138666. We hope this helps, good luck with this repair!
OPENED THE LEFT SIDE REFRIGERATOR DOOR WHERE THE DEFECTIVE MECHANISM WAS. GOT UP ON THE FIRST STEP OF THE STEP STOOL,REMOVED THE PHILLIPS HEAD RETAINING SCREW FROM THE BROKEN PART.PUT THE NEW CLOSING MECHANISM IN PLACE AND RE-INSTALLED THE PHILLIPS HEAD SCREW. STEPPED DOWN FROM THE STEP STOOL AND SHUT THE REFRIGERATOR DOOR.
