This microwave/ oven combo uses an Electrolux microwave and a Frigidaire oven. The microwave has failed. Can I replace just the microwave?
For model number PLEB27M9ECB
Hello Nick, Thank you for your inquiry. Checking your model, sadly, you cannot replace just the microwave or just the oven since it is a combo unit. We hope this helps.

I would like to know how to remove the control panel of the microwave (upper unit)? Where are the screws and/or the clips so I will not break it? Thank you.
For model number PLEB27M9ECB
Hi Tjendera,
Thank you for your question. Although the instructions provided here are for installing an electronic control board, it will also provide you with information on how to remove and install the control panel. Before you begin this repair, unplug the microwave from the electrical outlet and use a Phillips head screwdriver to unthread the mounting screws securing the grill. With the screws removed, open the microwave door and slide the grill to the left to remove it. Then remove the control panel mounting screw. Next, lift the control panel up to detach it. Note the orientation of the wires connected to the back of the control board and depress the locking tabs if necessary to disconnect the wires. Then use a screwdriver to remove the screw securing the grounding wire and set the panel on a sturdy surface. Next, release the ribbon connector attached to the electronic control board and unthread the screws securing the electronic control board to the housing and remove the board. Prepare the new control board for installation by removing the protective coverings. Then make sure the switch cable is inserted through the hole in the control panel housing and then place the electronic control board into the housing. Follow the steps in reverse. Plug the microwave back in and your microwave should now work for you. Good luck with the repair!

Replaced clock control by removing surface burner control knobs and plastic nuts, and then the cover over the oven control. Two screw hold the clock in place, after removal and disconnecting the plug-in you can reinstall the new clock control. The Heat Sensor inside the oven will also need to be replaced. It is located inside the oven and attached with two screws; the back of the oven will need to be removed to unplug. Reverse removal procedure and turn the power back on to the stove.
PF alarm appeared on display. Noticed clicking when cord was moved. Had arced for some time and melted original block. New part slightly different. Only has 3 lugs, old one had six. Stack using washers provided. Take note of colors before disassembly. Use caution while working through access opening. The edges are sharp. Only tools needed are phillips screwdriver, deep socket for lug nuts. Nut driver optional. Hope this is helpful.
I first removed the top plate above the microwave door (3 screws), then I removed the plate containing the buttons and clock. The microwave has 3 relay switches and they are in a little holder. The holder was too difficult to remove so I just removed the bottom switch and replaced. The microwave started right up.
