My refrigerator/freezer was hot, therefore, my inverter controller replaced 2 days ago? The freezer is cool but there is no air coming from the top left vent in refrigerator, but there is cool air coming from the vent directly below it. Only the refrigerator part is noticeably warm. What could be the problem?

Hello Debbie, thank you for your inquiry! Our research indicates that the issue is probably with the Temperature Sensor, part number PS304103. If that is not the problem or if you have already fixed that, then the problem would be related to the Defrost Thermostat, part number PS8688283. Customer service is available 7 days a week if you need help placing an order. Glad to be of assistance!
My water dispenser and ice dispenser no longer works. No ice is being made and no water is being dispersed.

Water leaking from back of refrigerator. What could it be
For model number PFE29PSDASS
Hi Myrna, thank you for the question. We would recommend checking if the drain hose is clogged. If this is not the case, you may need to check the dual water inlet valve, part number PS6011774, to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
The fridge is working at proper temperature of 37 degrees.
We just bought the fridge used and the freezer was cold enough for water bottles to freeze when we first installed it. Fast forward a week and it has gotten to the point where it now is at 50 degrees and not cooling properly.
I have checked the temperature for the freezer. Nothing between -6 and 0 has affected the temp.
I have checked the defrost heater for continuity, BTW, there was no ice build up in the freezer when I accessed the defrost heater.
I have checked the gasket for leaks, there are none.
I have checked the freezer heater temp sensor Ohms at different temperatures and they both temperatures checked out within spec.
I have replaced the filter and ice maker.
I have checked the freezer defrost thermostat for continuity.
The freezer fan motor is on and working.
The freezer drain was not clogged.
I have not checked the inverter control board yet. I am at a loss as to what to check next. Please advise.

Hi Joseph, thank you for reaching out. As you have already replaced all these parts, we would suggest checking the inverter board, part number PS12345457. It controls how fast and how much the compressor cools down the refrigerator. We hope this solves your problem!

Is there a way to clean the coils.
For model number PFE29PSDASS
Hi Claudia, thank you for your question. That depends on what you are able to do. If you are taking about your condenser coils, to clean those you would likely need a duster and a vacuum. For your evaporator coils, if they are frosted over, you need to defrost them with warmth. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

I went to a GE repair center to explain my problem, the service center reccomended that I have a techinician come out o look at it. $75.00 for the visit and what ever labor and materials wuld cost.
I went on line to see if there were others having this same problem and found that there were many with the same problem.
After reading some of the ways that people found out what was wrong ...it became a matter of three components, the timer, heater or thermostat.
I tried the most common component and the less expensive one first , the thermostat switch I installed it very easily snipping two wires and attaching the news using wire nuts I used the diagram on this website to pinpoint the component and there has not been a problem since.
I applied some tips learned by reading other reviews. So before I started I grabbed my trusty vise grip pliers and a small screw driver. I locked onto the switch actuator, the part that the refrigerator door pushes in, with the vise grips and pulled on it just hard enough to get the screw driver inserted in the right side to push in the catch clip so the switch could be pulled out further each time the catch clip was depressed to the next detent. Then I used the screw driver on the left site to encourage the switch past the detents on the left and very quickly the switch was out of the mount. The wires from the refrigerator pulled out with the old switch. I unplugged the old switch from the wires and plugged in the new switch and shoved the new switch back into the mount, wiggled it a couple of times to make sure it was secure and the job was done. Once I applied the vise gripes at first, the whole job took less than a minute.
