PCB900SP1SS General Electric Range - Instructions

I removed the racks and oven door. I used a socket to remove the screws that secured the element. I pulled the element out to gain access to the wire connectors and used pliers to remove the wires from their connectors to the burned out element. I installed the new element by using the pliers to secure the wire connectors to the element and then installed the element with the socket thus securing the element with the screws.

I went online, found what I thought was the correct part, ordered it, received it--WRONG ELEMENT!
HUBBY phoned parts company, very nice gal helped him find correct element, put new one in the mail to us, and we mailed back the wrong one. We received confirmation via email, and 3 days later installed the proper element. I am back to baking. I bake & mail cookies (55,000 to date) to our deployed troops, so I was lost without my oven! Thanks People!

First, my husband removed the two screws that hold in the element. Unfortunately, my GE Spectra oven had extremely short wires. That was the only thing that made it somewhat difficult. So, he pulled the element out as far as he safely could, replaced it with the new one. No problem! As I said, the only thing that made it difficult was the short wires supplied by GE. The part came from PartSelect.com with no problems. I would definitely use this website again to order parts.

Really easy even i could do it , it was a little fiddly and the wires disappeared into the back of the oven , i easily removed the rear panel and pushed the wires back thru and connected them , turned the breaker back on and sparks !!
removed the rear panel again in 2 mins and saw that the wires were touching the oven frame and had shorted out , it wasnt a problem moved them slightly, reconnected them to the element tightened them up , put breaker on and Done , took about 45 mins but i could of been done in 30 with a little more care in the beginning of the job EASY !

First unplug the unit from the outlet. Then remove the rear cover, covering the electrical wires. Disconnect the hot /ground wires from the element leads. Then open the oven door and use the nut driver to remove the inner screws to release the bake element. Insert new element and replace all screws and electrical leads. You're all done!

So easy. Took extra time so the wife would think it was harder. Just read the other reviews for instructions. Didn't have an issue with the wires pulling back into the oven though I did have my "clips" ready.

We decided to go "on line" to see if there was any way to fix the stove ourselves and found the Part Select website. After entering the model number for the stove, we were able to find the heating element. We ordered it and received it two days later! We saved money and time. Thank you!

SHUT OFF THE BREAKER! Remove two (2) screws from the inside of the oven. Remove the five (5) screws on the back cover on the outside. Pull the wires from the spade terminals on the element (take note of the Red and White sides). Slide out the old element and slide in the new one from the oven side. Button up your screws and reset your breaker. Game over, bake a pie.

Turn off power at breaker 2.Remove two screws and pull out wire just about 3 to 4 inches so I could remove each side of clips. 3 clip the new bake unit to wires and screw the new unit back in to existing holes.4 Turn on breaker and start oven. I did it in less than 15 min it took longer to find my tools.

First of all i ordered the part and recieved it the following day, thank you PartSelect. :) Installation was a breeze. I just turned off the main circuit breaker then pulled the range out from its position between the countertops. I used an adjustable wrench to remove two small bolts holding the baking element in place, carefully pulled out the element to expose the two wires, disconnected them and connected the new element, put the backplate bolts back in turned on the main breaker and the oven worked as good as new.

Cut off stove at breaker box then remove shelves.use a nut driver, quarter- inch to remove two screw that hold element in then carefully pull the element out about two inches they have a push on clips that holds the wires to the element use a piece of wire to keep the push on clips from going back into the stove.Pull the clips off with needle nose plyers and reconnect. Most important thing don't let the wires pull back into stove. Duke

Once I opened up the back of the range, the sensor wires where there and burnt just like your info said. One nut to take off in the oven and the sensor came right out and the new one went right in. The oven works great, cooked the turkey today. The worst part of the repare was the cleaning behind and under the range, it hasn't moved since it was put in 6 years ago. Very pleased with PS.

Unplugged oven, removed 2 screws from the rear of unit and disconnected power connectors for heating element. Replaced broken element wint new assembly, reconnected neutral/hot connectors and reattached rear cover. Very easy repair.

Wasn't sure exactly what part number to order, called Parts Select, very nice lady on the phone helped me find the correct part#, I ordered it and approx. 24 hours later it arrived. Shut the power off to stove, removed the two screws on the back wall, gently pulled the connecting wires through (still attached ) to the element. Disconnected the wires and put a spring type clothespin on them so as not to lose the wires back in the insulation. Connected new element, put power back on. I was amazed how easy a job it was, thanks to reading some of the instructions on this forum. Not to mention saving a bunch of money. I will definitely order from PartsSelect whenever the need arises.
