My middle burner lights, but the spark does not turn off. I have cleaned the sparker with alcohol swabs, but that did not help.
Could this be the spark switch module ? The other burners work just fine.

Hi Michael,
Thank you for your question. The spark or ignition module will send pulses to each electrode to ignite the burners and will stop sending pulses once it senses that the burners have ignited. If the electrode starts to malfunction and wear out, the spark module will continue to send pulses to the electrode because it can no longer sense that the burner has ignited. If you have already cleaned the electrode, visually inspect it for signs of damage. If it is damaged, you will need to replace it. If the electrode is fine, check the spark ignition switch. A defective spark ignition switch will send continuous voltage to the spark module. Test the switch to see if it is defective and if it is not, then the issue is likely the spark module and it will need to be replaced. We hope this helps!
Since power circuit breaker reset, unable to light stove automatically. I am able to light the stove with a match verses the auto light prior to loosing power. Is there a pilot for this cooktop? If so, how do light it?Thanks
For model number NGM8655UC
Hi Leon, thank you for your question. Each one of your cooktop burners has its own igniter switch, this part here: PS8729206. It is not recommended that you use a match to light your burners. If all of your switches are not working, then you may actually have a wiring issue in your appliance or your spark module has malfunctioned. That is this part: PS10058840. Good luck with your repair.
