MLE27PDBYW0 Maytag Dryer - Instructions

I ordered the door catch kit on a Wednesday at it arrived Saturday AM. It took less than 1 minute to pry out the old catch with a flat screwdriver and pop in the new one!

Popped the latch out and popped a new one in.

The real story here is that there was an ANSWER and a SOLUTION, to what was a GREAT
annoyance. If I wouldn't have found a part, I may have run off and bought a new dryer, when I really didn't need to, or paid A LOT of money for a repair man to come out. THANK YOU for your service. You made my life easier.

The door catch kit is soo easy. They give you instructions on which one to use depending on your dryer and it fit perfectly into the door. This was great especially since it was so inexpensive! My husband thought we would have to replace the door.

My husband is the one who fixed the door. He said he just popped it into place and was done in just a couple of seconds! The best part though was the quick service we received. . . I ordered the part around 10:30 in the morning, and it was at my front door by 5pm the next day!!! What great service!!!! We will definitely do business again with partselect. Followed your video for replacing the Tension Pulley, Drum Belt and Drum Rollers. Models were not exact, but instructions were very clear and detailed enough for a "computer geek" to do the repair myself (with some help from my wonderful wife). Live in Ohio, parts came from Kentucky and I had them the next day! The dryer is almost 10 years old. Running great now. Thank You!

Removed old catch and strike with screwdriver and needle nose pliers. Installed new parts. My old catch did not have comparible numbers so I just used the yellow one. Worked fine.

Just insert filter.

Simply installed the piece and I was done. Took 10 seconds.

Popped out the old door catch kit and replaced it with the new one! Easy!!

All I had to do was get the model number off of the dryer and plug that information in online and within a couple of days the part arrived. It was great! There were directions that came with the part that explained how to replace the old latch with the new one.

I remember in the "olden days" when I would of had to call a repair guy out and paid a lot more than the $12.00 I did to replace the part myself. And, the only reason it was $12.00 dollars instead of $5-6 was because I had it shipped overnight.

When I ordered the part, I viewed the installation video. That was a key step for me. It told me how to identify the correct part (there are multiple latch pieces in the repair kit, and one of them matches the type of door for the dryer), and how to disassemble the door to get the part installed. When the part came and I installed it, it turned out that I could snap the part in by hand, with no tools. It took about 5 seconds to try it, and it worked.
