MH1160XSQ1 Whirlpool Microwave - Instructions

--simpley removed 2 screws, removed old filter--but had PLENTY of cleaning to do before putting in the new filter !My husband LOVES to cook and pan fry foods--it won't go that long before being replaced in the future!

You had alerted that it was imperative to unplug unit before starting to remove defective bulb. As described, there was silicon on bulb and socket and bulb broke upon my attempt to remove. Had to use needle nose pliers to get metal base of old bulb from socket, then all went well.

My daugher used the vent grill on the microwave as a handhold while putting dishes away in the cupboard and broke it. I found the part via the Whirlpool website. When the part arrived I removed the two screws, placed the new vent grill in place and replaced the screws. Total time: About 10 minutes.

The old grille would not stay in place since the mounting brackets disintegrated. I wired the old grille in place for aesthetics and ordered a new one. When the new grille arrived (very promptly I might add)I removed the old grille and mounted the new one with the old screws. It would have been nice if the new part had included new screws because I lost one of the old ones. But I have a cache of old screws so I found a replacement that worked. I was very pleased to find the new part so easily!

I just opened the box and set it in. Took all of two minutes.

Twas really easy considering that all I had to do was place the plate back in the microwave. Easy Peasey

Simply placed new dish on the rotating hub.

I took the old one off and put the new one up opened the door to do it and used a magnetic phillips screwdriver.I did not need help from the husband .

Arrived in 24hours!!! Great.

Had to take all the screws out of the bottom of the microwave to get to the socket. Once that was done, it was a simple fix of taking out 2 screws that hold the socket in, and then unplugging it. Replug and put all screws back. It was a fairly simple fix for the diy homeowner.

Time to replace the charcoal filter
