I am in need of a light for the inside of my refrigerator
For model number MFI2570FEZ05
Hello Lynn, thank you for your question. The Light module is PS12070396. We look forward to hearing from you.
Hi Paul, thank you for reaching out to PartSelect. The freezer heats and cools when it defrosts. This causes the ice to melt a little and then refreeze. If your freezer is just barely too warm or the temperature fluctuates too much, your ice may melt and reform several times before you use it. This can cause clumping, and it can also cause your ice to form irregular shapes. There can be either a leak from the underside of the ice maker leaking into the ice bin or causing the cubes to freeze together. To check this, you will have to remove the ice maker, fill it with water, and look under the ice maker to see if it is leaking. Or the ice is clumping together because you are not using it all quickly enough. If this is not the issue, you will need to replace the water inlet valve, PS11775241. We hope this information helps!
My water dispenser starts off good on demand then slows down a lot as it dispenses water. What can I do?
For model number MFI2570FEZ05
Hello Joel, thank you for reaching out. When your water dispenser starts with strong pressure but quickly drops to a slow trickle, the issue is most likely with the water filter. A clogged, aged, or faulty water filter restricts water flow through the system, causing pressure to build behind the blockage when the dispenser is not in use. When the paddle is pressed, the stored pressure creates a brief, strong burst of water, followed by a slow stream as the restriction limits continuous flow. Replace the filter, part number PS11722130, to fix the issue. We hope this helps!
Ice maker stopped working. Replaced both water valve and ice maker but no change. Water line is clear and water flow at the door is normal. Filled tray manually and the ice dispensed properly.
I'm running out of ideas, thank you for any advice.
For model number MFI2570FEZ05
Hi David, thank you for getting in touch. Since you have already replaced both the ice maker and water valve, confirmed the water line is clear, and the ice dispenses properly when the tray is filled manually, the main control board is the next likely cause. The control board sends the power and control signal needed to initiate the ice maker’s harvest and water-fill cycle. If the board is not sending the proper signal even though the replacement ice maker and valve are working, replacing the main control board, part number PS12070401, can help restore normal ice production. We hope this helps!
Pressed in the end of the filter cover, lowered it down part way. Twisted the old filter 1/4 turn and removed it. Set in the sink to drain. Inserted new filter and twisted it to lock. closed cover. Done. Total time @ 1 Minute.
Removed the fruit & veggie drawers & the deli (pantry) drawer. Took out the 3 screws, removed the attached parts, put them on the replacement part, reattached it and put the drawers back in.
Here's the part I want to share: PartSelect had a expanded diagram showing the correct part and sufficiently detailed to figure out the repair before the part arrived. That's why I ordered from them. Secondly, I ordered the part Thursday morning--and the thing was sitting on my porch when I came back in from my evening out Saturday--2 days later!!!
Remove food off of lower shelf, remove the two produce drawers, remove large lower drawer, remove glass shelf, remove three screws holding end cap in place. Once end cap was removed the drawer track could be removed and placed on new end cap. Installation of new end cap took less than 5 minutes. Most of the time spent was removing/replacing food and cleaning the shelf/bins. PartSelect was awesome BTW!
