Door alarm is blinking but doors are closed. Also light is off inside the fridge
For model number MFI2269DRM00
Hello and thank you for writing.
Maytag refrigerator door alarm light blinks, and the lights are off. If there is frost on the rear wall of the freezer compartment then a defrost issue is most likely. You would want to test the defrost heater PS11738607 and defrost thermostat PS11743689 for continuity and replace if faulty. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.

The recepticle that the water filter inserts into leaks. Can this part be replaced? The refrigerator is installed in a motorhome, so I believe it may have froze and cracked.

Hi Sherwin, thank you for the question. The part that you are looking to replace comes as an assembly with the water reservoir tube, part number PS12712108. Use the following instructions to replace the water reservoir tube:
1. Turn off the refrigerator.
2. Remove the shelf from the right side of the refrigerator.
3. Depress the tab to release the water filter cover and bend it outward to release it.
4. Remove the lower and upper access panels.
5. Remove the water filter.
6. Depress the right-side retaining clip to release the filter base assembly.
7. Remove the water line from the inlet valve.
8. Remove the water reservoir from the rear panel.
9. Remove the screws holding the back access panel.
10. Pull out the outgoing water line from the water inlet valve.
11. Remove the old reservoir assembly.
12. Replace the old assembly with a new one.
We hope this information helps!
Pressed in the end of the filter cover, lowered it down part way. Twisted the old filter 1/4 turn and removed it. Set in the sink to drain. Inserted new filter and twisted it to lock. closed cover. Done. Total time @ 1 Minute.
I removed the drop-down outer housing by gently prying the sides of the two pivot pins at the rear. This gave me move 'room' to grip and slightly rotate then pull the old filter forward and away from the tight suction connection. I was concerned that I would be too forceful for the plastic assemblies and would break something; deliberate motions and a steady thought process on the problem helped disengage the darned old filter!
