KUDA22ST2 KitchenAid Dishwasher - Instructions

Hello -

Upper rack fell down unexpectedly one night while loading the dishwasher -- evidentally the rollers had been deterioraring for a long time.

Orderd the new ones from you folks and installed them.

The problem I had was not with the replacement parts received, but making sure they were the correct ones 'on line', ( called as well ), and then not having a thin enough wrench to hold the nylon nut while unscrewing the bushings which required a large width screwdriver.

I have already sent you an e-mail saying how happy I am with the new pieces.

Just another example of how the right tools can make everything go a lot smoother, but we everyday consumers often don't have them.....

I took the first bumper, I had bought two, and tried to snap in on to the rack. It was too rigid and broke.

My son heated the second one in hot water and it snapped right on.

At least I know the secret to installation, but now I need another bumper.

Fairly simple to replace the valve. Water input side was a rubber hose that required pliers to squeeze the ring seal and slide it down the hose. Copper pipe on the output side was attached with a 3/8 compression fitting.

I did need to transfer a brass elbow from the old part to the new one.

Snapped in new ones (8) by hand. I was amazed
how fast I was able to find this part online and the
ordering was easy and in a few days the parts
arrived. No hassle trying to explain to anyone what
part I needed. There were pictures of all parts
available. Ordering online, especially if you
know what you are looking for, is really the way to go.

I just pulled out the rack and removed the eight existing roller wheels and roller axles. I was able to remove most of the roller axles with my fingers but needed pliers to remove a couple of them. I then snapped the new roller axles onto the rack and then the roller wheels onto the new roller axles and put the entire rack back in the dishwasher.
The lower rack now rolls smoothly and consistently no matter how many dishes we have piled into it. Also, it has not come off the tracks since replacing the roller axles and roller wheels.

i pulled the rack out, took off the old parts then added the new ones. it was quick and simple. i needed no tools and my package of parts arrived quicker than i thought. thanks!

I pulled off the broken parts and snapped on the new axles, then replaced the wheels. Very simple.

It was easy to remove rack from dishwasher. I screwed on rollers and it was like new!

I ordered 8 new axles and used old wheels. I broke off the remaining axle parts left on the wire lower basket with just my hands, and then popped on the new axles. This was done without tools; just needed significant pressure to pop the axles onto the coated wire. The wheels popped onto the axles with a little pressure. Make sure you have the right side of the wheel out. I simply looked at the remaining working wheels before install began to make sure which side goes out. Very easy install.

We have a remote cottage in Canada with a dishwasher over 30 years old. Since you have to get there by boat we didn't want to have to get a whole new dishwasher installed. The plastic rollers from the top shelf had fallen apart and the top rack would fall off all the time. My daughter found your company online and ordered the exact parts for me! I couldn't believe it. For about $20.00 my dishwasher was fixed by my husband in less than a half hour. It was easy to order the parts from you, they were shipped immediately and worked perfectly. Thank you so much for your help with our dishwasher parts. I was laughed out of Lowe's, Home Depot, Sears and H.H. Gregg when I took my old parts there looking for help with replacement parts. I took out the bottom rack, turned it upside down, popped off the wheels and saved them and put on the new axles. It took a little doing to get the new axles snapped into place-they were stiff. I finally figured out how to use the pliers at the right angle to pop them on. Then the wheels popped right on and off I went.

Like the video showed but very hard to stretch tube over wider part on interior of top shelf. Read afterwards that hair dryer would have helped. Video should mention that. Bruised hands and wrists getting it on good.

we used hot water to soften the ends of the tube and then slid it onto the two ends of the parts in the dishwasher. It did take a little bit of "push" to get it on one end, but nothing we could not handle. I would say anyone with common sense and willingness to fix something them selves would have no problem. I would like to say the part I ordered was of good quality and saved me a lot of money.

ReplacING the tube was not a big job but the old tube had come apart and pieces had lodged in the sprayer arm. I used a toothpick and nut pick to dislodge the pieces and restore full water flow.

Repair was awful without instructions. Instructions were requested twice with no response. Attempted without instruction and broke the sleeve. Reordered but not through Partselect
