Ice maker not working Shows po on display
For model number KRMF706ESS00
PartSelect logo
Hi Brenda, Thank you for your question. According to your owner's manual, "PO" is letting you know that there has been a recent power outage and that the temperature inside the refrigerator has risen to 18°F. If "Confirm" is blinking on your control panel, press Measured Fill under "Confirm" to remove "PO" from the screen. Sometimes after a power outage, it can take 24 hours before the ice maker will start to make ice. If your ice maker has an on/off switch check to see if it is on and make sure the temperature in the refrigerator and freezer sections is correct. Also check for any blockages, such as ice chunks that would prevent it from working. If the ice maker does not work after 24 hours, you may need to test it with a multimeter to see if it has continuity. We hope this helps!

Freezer running hot and no water from water dispenser
For model number KRMF706ESS00
PartSelect logo
Hello Sam, thank you for writing. If you don't get any water from the water dispenser, you'll need to check the water line connection. Check that the outside water line is connected to the fridge properly. Ensure the tube is free and clear of any obstruction. The most common reason that a freezer is too hot is a faulty door gasket. It is part PS5573760. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you.

Refrigerator too warm and condenser keeps freezing over & covering with ice. Freezer also does not maintain the correct temperature although that is a new development after removing parts for access to condenser coils/evaporator motor/ etc....I purchased an evaporator motor from your site although I don't see any female end of a wiring harness that would allow me to install the new part ordered.

Lights inside refrigerator not working
I used a flat-head screwdriver to pop out the old light rocker switch. Then, I unplugged the wires, plugged them into the new light rocker switch, and then popped the new switch into the hole. That's it! Lights began working again.

Ice dispenser motor burnt out, water got inside.
Purchased new motor from Partselect.com. When it arrived it came with a new rubber washer that fitted on top of new motor that was not on old motor, that how water got into old motor. However, the instruction sheet did not give info on how to access the proper way to the motor that is the door. Not wanting to damage the freezer door assy. called in a tech who made it look easy, but even he had a little problem locating access panel that was directly under the motor in the freezer side of the door. After that it was a piece of cake.

Light Switch broke
An easy job for smaller hands. Removed the two bolts holding the light cover. Removed two electrical connections from the old switch by pinching the retaining clip, removed the switch, snapped in the new one and re-attached the connectors. Your online illustrations helped me to know that the plastic housing for the light switch would only swing down so far and was not intended to be removed. Saved me from breaking that plastic cover's tabs. This home repair saved me more than 5 times the cost of hiring a professional to do it. Very happy homeowner.
