Hello Adam, thank you for getting in touch. The first thing to do is try to reset the dishwasher. Select any 3 buttons on the control panel other than start/cancel. Press them in this order "1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3". If you press the buttons quickly (less than half a second between each push), all the lights should turn on the control panel. Wait 10 seconds, then press cancel enough times until all the lights go out on the control panel to reset the dishwasher. Now try the dishwasher again. If the clean light still stays on, the touchpad and control panel, part number PS12745443, needs to be replaced. Glad to be of help!

Hello William, thank you for contacting us. Check the door switch, part number PS16555330. A faulty switch might be causing the dishwasher to shut down prematurely. You can do a continuity test for the door switch, if it fails the test, replace it. If this does not help, you will need to replace the control board, part number PS12745362, to fix the issue. We hope this information helps!
My dishwasher has been displaying anE! and also F9 error message. What do these mean? How do I fix each one? What parts do I need and what are the instructions for installing the parts?
For model number KDTM604KPS0
Hi Sally, thank you for contacting us. The E1 F9 error indicates a drainage issue, often caused by clogged drain hoses or filters. We would suggest checking the drain hose for any blockage first. If it is fine, the issue could be with the drain pump, part number PS12741766. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!

I called an experienced plumber, who balanced and installed my new dishwasher properly, using the brackets I ordered from Parts Select, after an INEXPERIENCED plumber had tossed the factory-provided mounting brackets out with the shipping carton. Relief!
After pulling the dishwasher out, I was able to determine the leak was occurring around the plastic nuts on the end of the heating element. I removed the heating element and saw that even though there were washers on the ends that protruded through the backside of the machine, they really weren't sealing the holes the element was sticking through. Looking at YouTube videos on the installation procedure, I noticed the element being installed had a sort of metal grommet permanently affixed to each end and the rubber washers were between the grommet and the dishwasher body. I ordered the new part and saw this to be when I received the new part. This grommet allowed the washer to seal the hole, once the plastic nuts were installed on the backside of the dishwasher. This seems to have stopped the leak. I don't know how the original part ever worked correctly, since the washers freely sat on the element with nothing to force them up against the body of the dishwasher and seal the holes. It may have been leaking long before I discovered the problem.
