When I turn on the burner the igniter lights the burner but keeps on sparking the whole time the burner is lit

Hi James, I would make sure the burner cap is in alignment, you can also try and clean debris out of the grooves of the igniter. Otherwise you may need to replace the igniter itself. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!

I am trying to remove the large head on the burner to replace the igniter there are (2) two small torx screws i removed and i can’t get the head off the cooktop. I’m not sure how the head is connected to the the surface (is it sealed or am i missing something?)

Hello Michael, thank you for your question. The head should simply lift up off the top when the screws are removed. It sits on the orifice and tube holder. If the head will not come up, try some solution around the head to loosen it. I hope this helps.

The 2 screws on each of the burner heads I'm guessing is how you get the top of this cooktop off. Mine will not move and I think I will break the screw if I try much harder. I have tried penetrant to no avail. Is this cooktop still available and what is the price.

continually having to replace the knobs because they are made of cheap plastic and split down the side for whatever reason I don't know. I do not know what I am doing to cause them to split down a side. Why can't they be made of a heavier metal?
