Is there a replacement filter for this microwave to eliminate bad burnt smell?
For model number JE1860BH04
PartSelect logo
Hi Laura, Thank you for your question. There are no filters listed for your microwave. To remove the burnt smell from your microwave, set a bowl with a solution of water and vinegar or water and lemon juice inside. Turn the microwave on for about 5 minutes and then wipe the inside of the microwave. We hope this helps!

Need instructions in how to replace latch switches. My microwave runs when we open the door. Thanks!
For model number JE1860BH04
PartSelect logo
Hello Stacy, Thank you for writing. You will need to remove the Outer Casing first to expose the Switches. Depress the release tab and the actuator to detach the switch you are replacing. Disconnect the wire connector to fully release the old switch. Install the new door switch by first connecting the wire connector. Now position the new switch in the assembly snap it into place. Realign the switch assembly on the frame and secure it with the screws. Before you begin any repair please unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet and discharge the capacitor. If you are not comfortable doing this yourself, please get an electrician to do this repair, the capacitor can hold a charge even when the appliance is not plugged in and can cause injury. We hope this helps!

Microwave completely stopped working
Turned out the issue was easily solved by replacing a single, inexpensive fuse.

First off, UNPLUG THE MICROWAVE.

The fuse is located under the plastic grill at the top of the microwave. It's held on by two screws. Once you've removed the screws and taken off the plastic grill, you go to the right side of the microwave and remove another screw that holds a small metal grill in place. Removing the small metal grill is probably the toughest part of this repair. You kind of have to rock it back and forth a bit to get it to release. Once that's off, you can get to the fuse. I removed the burnt out one with a pair of needle nose pliers. I also put a small piece of cardboard under the fuse when I did this so I didn't accidentally drop it into the innards of the microwave. I did the same thing when I replaced the new fuse. I then plugged the appliance back in and made sure it worked. Once that was confirmed, I replaced both grills.
