Our unit is gas operated and we are not getting any heat from it. The gas is on, there is no gas smell, the dryer runs, the clothes tumble, and there is no heat on any setting. What could be the problem? Please & thank you paul.

Temperature control knob initially was very stiff but now spins with no ratcheting sound and nothing happens when the start button is pushed.

Broken/ Tore Lint Filter
Opened dryer door and pulled out and Removed Broken old Lint Filter, inserted New Lint Filter into Lint Filter slot, then closed Dryer door.
