GMC305PRB01 Whirlpool Microwave Oven Combo - Instructions

Removed door to see what happened to the spring, ordered new spring and door frame on line and replaced parts. Had to replace door frame as it broke while removing it.

We had to remove screws from the vent covers above and below the microwave, then there were 2 screws (one on each side) that attached the microwave to the oven. Once all of the screws were removed we had to pull the microwave out. Then we pulled the light cord out, removed the burnt out light and installed the new one. Then reversed the steps.

Easily replaced after received the product from Part Select. Very satisfied.

I took the new tray out of the box and placed it in the microwave oven.. No tools needed.

Everything worked perfectly---thanks to the suggestion of your call center agent. She suggested that since the replacement door handles were no longer available, I should consider repainting them--it worked like a charm. Please tell her she was a life saver. We rent that house in Fl and my returning tenants had complained about the discoloring refer handles. Thank you

Relatively easy, my Jenn Aire model has a small 1/8 inch (est)hole under each of the door hinge assembly's, I inserted a an allen wrench on each side to hold the hinge. I then semi-closed the oven door, caution do it slowly until you get some resistance. You then pull upward on the door, caution it is heavy, you might have to jiggle it a bit. Once you have the door off you have to remove screws around the cover, the rest is intuitive. We took longer because we cleaned all the components.

XLarge pizza tray in a 450 degree oven - slam the door & CRACK. Replacement glass arrived on Saturday - VERY FAST DELIVERY. Placed 2 allen wrenches in both hinges - open the door half way & lift up. Place the door on a towel. Removed 6 screws, lift & seperated the inner oven covering, removed the broken glass & cleaned inside & replaced with new glass. More time was spent cleaning & coming up with a tool to fit into the hinge

removed door, took out 8-9 screws, slid door upward, and removed. took out broken glass, and replaced.

First I removed the door from the double oven as instructed in the owner's manual. Then I removed the screws holding the door together. I removed the layers necessary to get to the inner door glass. Then reassemled it in the order that I had taken it apart. A total of 15 screws. My tip would be pay close attention to how you disassemble.
Not only did we save the cost of a repairman but because of Part Select we got the glass for less than half the price quoted to us from Kitchen Aid for the part and delivery.

Repair was very easy, Alittle time consuming. Unscrewed the outer skin of the door and removed the pieces.

I just removed the door and change the glass. Really easy.

I did not take the door off the oven, i dissassbled it in place. all the visible screws on the door have to be removed. The "vent" air diflector or what ever it is , between the upper and lower doors has to come off also to access the screws that hold the front of the door on. The only confussion i had was the bracket that holds the third layer of glass. I forgot that it is held on with the same bracket/screws that hold the secound layer on.

Unplug power cord, remove wires from block. take 2 screws out. replace with new block about 15 mins. Done

Removed Door, Took Door apart, Replaced glass, re-installed door. Pretty basic
