No power to the control panel - how do i check to see if the control board is working and the issue is the control panel ?
For model number FPID2498SF5A
PartSelect logo
Hi Steve, Thank you for your question. The control panel for your dishwasher includes the electronic control boards. Check the wiring connections between the electronic control boards and the control panel for any signs of damage and to make sure that they are fitted correctly. If the wiring is fine, check the control boards for signs of damage, wear, scorching or burn marks. If the boards show any of these signs, the control panel assembly will need to be replaced. The part number listed under your model number for the control panel assembly is PS12584801. If you would like to place an order for it, you may order it either online or by calling our customer service line and anyone will be happy to assist you. We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.

My dishwasher has power, is latching, and I’ve reset the breaker a few times, and I’ve checked that the time delay is off. When I press start cycle, the blue “in use “ light comes on at the bottom but nothing runs.

Hello Tyler, thank you for reaching out. Ensure the water supply valve under the sink is fully open. If the dishwasher is not getting water, it won’t start the cycle. If that is not the issue, we would suggest checking the circulation pump, part number PS12365774. The pump motor delivers water to the spray arms to clean the dishes during the wash cycle. We hope this information is useful!

Mother rotating impeller below upper shelf fell off during washing. Can it be reinstalled and how
For model number FPID2498SF5A

Hello Bill, thank you for reaching out to us. Yes, the middle spray arm, part number PS12071544, can be reinstalled without tools unless the plastic locking tabs or mounting hub snapped when it fell. Pull the upper rack fully out and inspect both the center hub of the spray arm and the mounting post on the underside of the rack for any cracked or broken plastic tabs. If everything looks intact, the spray arm simply came loose during the cycle. Hold the spray arm directly beneath the central water manifold on the bottom of the upper rack and push it straight up onto the mounting post until you hear or feel a firm snap. If your model uses a threaded locking ring instead, align the hub and turn the ring clockwise until hand tight. Once reattached spin the spray arm by hand to confirm it rotates smoothly, sits level, and does not catch on any rack wires. We hope this information helps!
