Is there a way to shut off this annoying beeping that happens when the time runs out? One beep would be sufficient but three beeps? And it doesn't stop when you open the door. Ugh.
For model number FFMV164LSA
Hello Gary, thank you for your question. Unfortunately, if the beeping sequence was programmed that way when the unit was produced it cannot be changed.

Hello,
Thank you for your question. If the microwave is turning on by itself when the door is closed, the issue is likely one of the door switches and you will need to test them with a multi-meter. As you will be testing electrical components, verify that you have unplugged your microwave before beginning.
Locate and remove the door switch. You will need to remove the cabinet in order to access it. You should also inspect the door hooks that trigger the door switch to verify they are activating the switch mechanically. To test the switch for continuity, set your multi-meter to Rx1, depress the actuator button and touch the terminals with the probes. You should receive a reading of 0, indicating that there is continuity. If your switch does not have continuity between the terminals, you will need a replacement door switch. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day.

Hi, my microwave was new when we purchased our home 3yrs ago. The microwave began to blow a fuse within the microwave about a yr ago. My husband figured it was due to grease build up inside. He would take the top panel off and then remove the fuse and wipe any access grease around the fuse, but this only seemed to be a quick temporary fix. He would change the fuse 4-5 times a month. We haven't used the microwave in a few months because of the fuses blowing so much and i am afraid of electrical fires. There is so much grease build up it runs from under the top panel i am constantly cleaning it. What could be causing this problem? What would you recommend? Do we need to purchase another microwave? Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hello Zandra, thank you for your question. We would recommend replacing the charcoal filter PartSelect Number: PS2203386 as well as the grease filters PartSelect Number: PS1993472, and also check the door switches. Bad door switches could cause the fuse to blow as well. I hope this helps.

The microwave is plugged alone and has it's own electrical switch on the board.Whenever we start the microwave, the breaker stops. When we connect the breaker again then light is on but when we start the microwave same happens. Now even after we start the switch, the microwave is always off. Electricity is ok in the plug.Any solution pls

Hi George. We recommend a technician to take a look for you. They would have to test some components that are dangerous for not-technicians to test. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.

Remove vent cover then remove touch screen control panel. When you remove control panel take photo of where everything is plugged in then unplug and remove control panel. 3 door switches located next to door in a plastic chassis. Test each switch with current tester. Remove the bad switch and replace with the new one. You tube DIY helped.
First thing I dir was search YouTube for any related videos and found this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHj4H9Fdxrc, it was the exact problem my microwave was exhibiting. Once I verified the problem by troubleshooting, I removed the part and verified that the switches were working fine, the door latch assembly showed signs of wear which was the cause of the problem. After receiving the replacement part I installed it, verified that power was restored to the unit and reassembled the microwave, works fine, hope it lasts a long time!
