My dishwasher is having draining problems. Checking first for a clog, I pulled out the end of the drainpipe and blew into it to try to clear out any clogs. It took a while but eventually it made it through to the dishwasher basin. But it still didnt drain.
I then removed the drainpipe and re-attached. I never found anything that would clog it. But when I reassembled it, it worked...for a bit. It would run for a few minutes then stop working and some lights on the console would flash and water would be pooled in the tub. Usually after a few minutes if I closed the door again, the drain would activate and the water would clear out (without me starting the wash cycle or pressing any buttons). But when I try to start it again, the same issue happens.
Looking online, one possible issue is the drain pump, so I replaced that two days ago. I pulled out the dishwasher and replaced the pump, then ran a few cycles with the dishwasher outside its cabinet. It worked fine and I put it back in. Today another load was ready and I am again having the same issues. I just looked at the Check Ball and as far as I can tell it seems fine. As far as I can tell, the flapper valve seems fine as well.
Only other things I can think of are the heating element or a short in the control panel.

Hello Aaron, thank you for contacting us. The most probable cause of the issue is a faulty control board, part number PS12365196. It manages the functions of the dishwasher such as washing, draining, and drying. If you suspect the heater, part number PS3653449, we would recommend checking it for continuity with a multimeter. Customer service is available 7 days a week if you require assistance placing an order. Thanks again for reaching out!
Repair was simple. I unscrewed the old grommet which held the old spray arm and screwed-on the new one. About 30 seconds was required. Other people having this problem should note that the spray-arm is made of three pieces which are inseparable when the arm is new. The arm is sold in this form. However, when your machine is having the problem that the arm falls off, the three pieces become separate. When you want to replace the spray arm, only one new part needs to be ordered because this part encompases all three components.
I have had to keep replacing the spray arm on the bottom of my dishwasher which takes like 2 seconds to do.. First you open the dishwasher and than pull the bottom basked forward and reach down and pull the spray arm up and pop the bottom of the spray arm off and put it on the new spray arm and slip it back into the dishwasher over the thing that makes it spin around.. but the tricky part is and I didn't know this and this is why my dishwasher spray arm kept falling over and melting on the heating element.. you have to turn it till it clicks in.. and your done..
