Washer drains but fills back up after several days of sitting.

First dishwasher was filling up when not in use and now it also won't drain. It runs but nothing happens.

Hello Michael, thank you for contacting us. We would recommend checking drain tubes and hoses for obstruction, loose connections, and blockage. From the symptoms, the most probable cause is problematic drainage. Inspect the drain pump, part number PS16218652, and ensure it is not clogged and is working. With a multimeter inspect the water valve, part number PS3496157, and make sure it is good. If faulty, it will keep filling up the tub. Hi Vladimir, thank you for the question. If the motor is running without the water coming, the issue is with the control board. Because if water will not fill and the motor starts to run, it is a control issue. We recommend checking the control board, part number PS8689452. We hope this solves your problem!

Remove front Fascia on floor, use AC sniffer find hot wires into unit. Flip circuit breaker at panel. Verify no AC, shut water valve off on Dishwasher supply. Disconnect two valve wires to solenoid. Use wrench set to find proper size and use to remove supply line. Unscrew two Phillips sheet metal screws that hold valve support bracket and remove bracket with it now being held in by water inlet valve hose to interior wall of Dishwasher. Use Tin Snips to cut off metal band securing hose to old water inlet valve. Place new valve onto inlet hose, secure with new hose clamp (you must supply) tighten hex nut on clamp till water tight. Fasten wires onto the solenoid and mount assembly support bracket to dishwasher. Now connect water supply line after wrapping threads with pipe dope tape fasten and secure nut with adjustable wrench till water tight open supply valve and look for leaks with a flash light. If no leaks, reset breaker and test run and drain. No leaks replace fascia and have a Beer great Job saved $850 min. on a new dishwasher!
Preface: I had to remove the dishwasher anyway since I was replacing cabinets. So sitting in the garage it took less than 10 minutes to replace both sides. If I had to do this with dishwasher installed...2 screws pull dishwasher out 6 inches, unhook the spring, unhook the cable, hook new cable, rehook spring. Dido for the other side, slide dishwasher back in place reinstall attachment screws. All that...max 30 minutes. So easy.
Very easy. Was able to pop on the new wheels with no problem. Earlier orders of wheels (from another company) were close, but no cigar. These fit with no effort.
