The blue led clock on the door is no longer visible, would like to replace that piece, but cannot see a match that's labeled clock or led in the door diagram. Everything else is perfectly functional on the microwave. Thank you!

LED clock and timer doesn't lite up any more how do I change this part
For model number EI30BM60MSA
Hi Steve, thank you for contacting us. According to our research, you may need to check the microwave display control board, part number PS11726495. We have found some relevant instructions to replace the display control board. These may not be of the exact same model but will help you with the process. You may follow the following steps: unplug the power cord or shut off the power supply. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to unthread the screws securing the top grille. Pull the grille down from the top to detach. Disconnect the door wire connector and use a small flat-head screwdriver to pry out the access plug. Detach the door assembly mounting pins from the holes in the hinges to remove the assembly and set it on a sturdy surface. Next, pry out the plugs covering the four mounting screws holding the inner and outer door panels together. Use the Phillips head screwdriver to unthread the screws. Now, use a putty knife to help separate the outer door assembly from the inner panel. Remove the window insert, unthread all the screws securing the display board cover. Lift up the cover and detach the wires from the clips on the cover. Next, unthread the mounting screws to release the display board. Disconnect the harness connector, release the ribbon from the connector. Install the display board by following the same steps backwards. We hope this information is useful!
I have to open and close the door hard in order for the microwave to work. What causes this?
For model number EI30BM60MSA
Hi Eva,
Thank you for your question. If you have to slam the door shut to get it to work, check the switch holder inside the microwave to see if it is positioned correctly. If it is, then the switches may not be working correctly and they will need to be replaced. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!
The convection/grill option does not work plus my display is dim and difficult to read. From what i have read on your site the diminutive can be. Solved with a control assembly replacement. Does the convection/grille need this part to operate as designed?

Remove vent cover then remove touch screen control panel. When you remove control panel take photo of where everything is plugged in then unplug and remove control panel. 3 door switches located next to door in a plastic chassis. Test each switch with current tester. Remove the bad switch and replace with the new one. You tube DIY helped.
First thing I dir was search YouTube for any related videos and found this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHj4H9Fdxrc, it was the exact problem my microwave was exhibiting. Once I verified the problem by troubleshooting, I removed the part and verified that the switches were working fine, the door latch assembly showed signs of wear which was the cause of the problem. After receiving the replacement part I installed it, verified that power was restored to the unit and reassembled the microwave, works fine, hope it lasts a long time!
Went through some anxious hours when I found that the MW would not turn off. The only way was to leave the door open. Not a solution. Tried a appliance repair that I knew, they didn't work on MWs. Spoke to the manufacturer, for $99 would come out and then tell me the real cost to fix. After more searching, even to maybe getting a new MW, (which necessitates getting a new bracket for the over the stove MW. They evidently are not standard, but proprietary to brands. Not good!)Buying a MW, okay, but someone has to put it in. Where are the good old days of selling, delivery, service? I'm from a small town, that's SOP. I found PartSelect and called them. They didn't have the exact problem I had. They had a FAQ about the MW not starting. Mine wouldn't stop. After describing what was happening, they had it in one. Looked at the plastic latch, bottom was curved out of shape. Door wouldn't close properly, causing it to run. It didn't heat, just ran. I ordered the parts. A spring and a latch. They came in quickly and my son and I began the repair. Found a You Tube on a similar type of door and they posited it might be the latch with step by step to follow. Ran back and forth from computer to kitchen. Now, we didn't have the right tools to go along with the video we were watching. A long thin blade (about 12 inches) knife was used as the putty knife to pry up the edging that held the door glass. My son's long thin tiny philips screwdriver he uses to fix toys worked for the really tiny screws that held the latch part. We didn't have long nose pliers, but we messed up that part anyway, forgot to put in the new spring with the new latch. We worked it by hand and it went back together. Put it all together and discovered we forgot to put those tiny screws back at the latch. Wrestled the door back on and started it. Almost had a heart attack as it still was running when off. So unplugged, let it reset and it's been fine. Think it probably would have gone smoother with the proper tools. Anyway, glad I found PartSelect and that it was a relatively easy fix, even for those without tools and experience. A am a retiree, so don't feel you can't do it. Thank you so much PartSelect.
