Hello Kelvin, thank you for the great question. According to our research, the drum light turn on whenever the door is opened to illuminate the drum during loading and unloading. Closing the door turns off the light. If light does not come on when the door is opened. The issue is most probably with the drum light assembly. We would suggest replacing the drum light assembly, part number PS12728900, to fix the issue. It is normal for control panel lights to turn on when the power button is pressed. You have mentioned that the drum does not turn by hand. If your drum turns by hand, it means the drive belt is broken. We hope that helps!

Hi Erik, thank you for reaching out. We would suggest checking the door switch first. If it is fine, the issue could be with the board assembly, part number PS12728916. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope that helps!
