Hi Lisa, thank you for reaching out. We have found relevant instructions for you to remove the freezer basket for your model. You may follow the following steps to remove the basket:
1. Remove the freezer bin by pulling the brackets upward until you hear a clicking sound.
2. Pull the basket out to the stop position.
3. Tilt up the rear of the bin.
4. Lift it out to remove it.

New ice maker.. doesn't seem be be getting water to make ice? Water dispenser works?

Before replacing it, we suggest you check the water supply line and the water filter, which might be clogged. Unscrew old filter and remove(counterclockwise). Line up arrow on new filter with arrow on connection housing. Turn clockwise till resistance met. Do not overtighten. Follow directions. Simple.
Until I figured out that the Metal cover on the divider door had to be removed (pried out) giving access to the hidden hinges. After that the hinges could be removed and replaced.Great with giving phone thou.
