The Door Fixed Shelf-White Was Broken In Half

When the new one came in, I just opened the refrigerator's door and plugged (put)it into place and slid down to lock it in place. That's it. The order situation was more frustrated than the installations part.

loud screeching noise when running

Very easy repair. simply unplugged motor, pulled of old fan, and removed two 5/16 screws, replace motor, and installed new one. tested and replace back cover.

The beyond cheap GE handle broke on our rental unit GE refrigerator after less than six months

The new handle just took three screws matching our model refrigerator perfectly--and it is much sturdier than the original. We originally went to the GE site and they wanted $70 +shipping for the same handle. Our landlord only paid $500 for this fridge six months ago--brand new! For a total of just under $17 we got a new handle in perfect condition--delivered quickly to our door. It was exactly as described and fit our model perfectly. Frame broke

I was so surprised when I went on line put in the model number the item came up so quickly, price was cheap I order the same day less than 2 days it arrived. Missing a Shelf Guard on freezer door

Simply "popped" the guard into place...a very basic fix. Frezzer would freeze up, refrigerator stayed cold, solved the problem. Now the refrigerator seems to be running more than usual.

Checked the defroster coil which is located behind the rear panel in the freezer compartment, it was still working. Followed the schematics down to the defrost timer, which is located in the lower front of the refrigerator and tried that. Plugged in the new part and the problem is solved.

Refrigerator and freezer too warm

1) This is a built-in refrigerator with the compressor, coils, etc. at the top. Turn off the breaker to the fridge. 2) Remove the front panel off the top (just push up and pull out). 3) Removed 2 screws to the old timer and carefully remove the plug. Plug the new timer in and screw in. 4) Since our fridge was heavily frosted up, we moved everything to another refrigerator and coolers and kept the refrigerator off until all panels were room temperature. 5) If you haven't cleaned the coil in a while, vacuum it with a soft brush attachment. 6) Turned back on and the refrigerator is cooler than ever!
