How do i access charcoal filter
For model number AMV1150VAB4

Thank you for your question. Your charcoal filter is under part PS1871363 and it is located within the intake grille of your microwave, which will need to be unscrewed and opened to gain access to the filter. We hope this helps.
Replaced the intake grille. The grille should be removed prior to cleaning. The entire part is plastic and easily broken so that the two tabs for the mounting screws are shattered and will not hold the part in place. If one attempts to clean the grille using only a moderate amount of pressure with a cloth the fragile plastic will break. The part is poorly designed. When the vent is removed to replace the charcoal filter, one may discover that the grille has already been broken in a previous cleaning operation.
The nightmare was that this microwave is installed under the cabinet....in order to get to the light bulb I had to pull out my stove then squeeze into the space between the stove and counter....my old microwave light bult was much easier to change.....Shame on Whirlpool for making this so difficult.....must be a better way to cover the light bulb so that we do not need a screwdriver to remove the door to get to the light bulb
