Water and ice have floaters. Changing refrigerator filter did not help. What parts do I need to replace to get clear clean water?
For model number 79551022012
Hello Kristin, thank you for reaching out. Inspect the water tubes or lines that connect the filter to the ice maker and water dispenser. If they're clogged, kinked, or damaged, they might be introducing debris into the water system. If that does not help, we would suggest checking the water inlet valve, part number PS3527457. This valve supplies water to the water dispenser and ice maker. If it's clogged or faulty, it can cause floaters in the water and ice. Replacing the water inlet valve may resolve the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
my ice maker is making too much ice. the little ice flap wont close causing too much moisture in the freezer. the water outlet is very slow. is there a monitor switch that controls one or more of these?
For model number 79551022012
Hello Vicki, thank you for the question. Based on our understanding, there is no monitor switch in your model for the ice maker, the issue is most probably with the ice maker assembly, part number PS3528732. You may need to replace the ice maker to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
Hello Donald, thank you for contacting us. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend checking the temperature sensor, part number PS3598284, to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
This site was awesome! I was able to very quickly look up my refrigerator model, find the proper part number, and order the part. The only suggestion I would make is to update the cut sheet with a more clear version, it was a little difficult to make out the part number because the scan/drawing was fuzzy, but I was still able to make it out. Got the part in the mail very quickly and it was super easy to remove the old rail and install the new one. Take out the screws from the old one, remove the old rail, line up the holes, install the new one, and put back the screws. It's so nice to have a site like this to fine parts and order them! Too cool! Thank you so much!
