Burner element #9 no longer heats. How to determine whether fault is element or switch?
For model number 79042732406
Hello Bob, thank you for asking. It is possible to check the heating element using a multimeter. Set the digital multimeter on the lowest ohm settings and place its probes on the coil terminals of the heating element. For a good element, the ohm readings should be 0-120 ohms. If the ohm reading does not change significantly and remains stuck on one value, the element is faulty. The issue is most probably because of the faulty element, part number PS16221754, and/or the element switch, part number PS16227346. Customer service is always available to help you place an order if you are having trouble doing so. Good luck with your repair.
