Old whirlpool soap dispenser latch wasn't working
Bought a house and with it can an old whirlpool dishwasher in where the soap dispenser lid would latch, as the latch itself was gone. Ordered the latch from part select and used the installation video to switch the latch out. Only problem I came across was that the torx screws at top of he door were free spinning. Ended up using a flat head for leverage to finally get the screws out. Everything works perfectly for once.

Soap container was not opening
This was stupidly easy! I found Parts Select from a Google search on making the repair. That took me to a YouTube video that Parts Select had posted on how to repair. I followed the instructions and it was fixed in 10 minutes and that was only because I took my time. I ordered the part online from a link on YouTube and I had it in two days............. Unbelievable!!!!

Leak at bottom of dishwasher door.
I paid a repairman over $100 to tell me he could find nothing wrong with my leaking dishwasher (it didn't leak when he ran it). I narrowed down the problem to a missing water deflector, but decided to replace the door gasket as well. It took less than 5 minutes to do the job. The only tool I used was a pair of needle-nose pliers to grasp the old door gasket and get it coming out of the groove. Thanks PARTSELECT for super-fast shipping and a website that is easy to navigate. I'll be coming back, 'cause all of my appliances are getting some age on them!

Panel did not match my existing appliance when I purchased the townhome
I used a screwdriver as a wedge to remove the existing panel and inserted the new black panel into the groves located on the front of the dishwasher. Installation was easy because I followed the instructions from the website. Piece of cake. Less than 2 mins.

Soap Dispenser Cover Would Not Open All The Way
Removed dispenser cover by using flat screwdriver, then slid the lid hinge pin and lid spring by pushing the lid hinge pin out on the silverware trade side. Then I put the lid hinge pin back into its place, once started I put the lid hinge spring on the lid hinge pin and pushed the pin into place, used flat screwdriver to put the lid spring in place, then I snapped the soap dispenser cover on the lid hinge pin. It took me about 5 minutes to remove and replace these parts, a very easy repair.

Water leaking into empty dishwasher.
After emptying the dishwasher the bottom had no water in it. A few hours later there was water in bottom. This told me the inlet valve was leaking. I took the bottom kick plate panels off. Directly in front on left side was the water inlet valve. Remove mounting screw, disconnect electrical connection, the water feed and discharge hose and remove valve. Install new valve. 100% DONE! Reinstall front panels after checking for leaks. At 71 years of age my typical 20 minute job actually took less time.

Broken Hinge Lid Pin and Lid Spring
I followed the video's from Parts Select and it took me less than 3 minutes to replace these parts. I did find it easier to use a screwdriver to lift the u shape of the spring over the detergent cup as the pliers tended to pull on the spring too much. Couldn't have been easier or faster, awesome!

Water not draining out of dishwater completely
I read everyone else's fixes, which were very helpful but my solution of removing the plastic from the motor shaft was a lot easier than others. I simply used side cutters and made two cuts into that plastic piece and it Fell of. much easier than the person using several Dremmel blades to cut it off.. That was the most difficult phase until I grabbed my ole phone company side cuts and just cut it off in 15 seconds. Thanks for all the other tips. I love dealing with Parts Select, Fast and efficient. Jim W

Not draining completely
Unplug dishwasher from electrical, water supply and drain hose. Pull dishwasher out from under cabinet. Unscrew water whirler from inside washer, then remove motor. Remove black boot from motor. Unscrew keeper from impellor housing. And you are there! Pull impellor off motor shaft. Replace seal first, then replace impellor. So easy this girl did it. But, this girl also does small engine repair!

Leaking from bottom of door
The hardest part was locating the leak. After consulting the other repair suggestions, I concluded that the gasket was a little more worn on one side than the other so I ordered the gasket. The evening before the gasket arrived (quick delivery from partselect.com) I decided to shim out the old gasket with some old door insulation. It made the door harder to close but it didn't leak any more. When the gasket arrived I replaced the old with the new. It leaked more than ever. After reading more repair instructions, I decided to take apart the door vent and check it. It was packed solid with gunk. After a good cleaning, I put everything back together. No leaks! I tried every repair listed except the door vent. Guess steam is a good gunk conduit LOL. I supposed I didn't really need the new door gasket but I can tell the door has a tighter seal now. Here's a tip to watch for. If the door doesn't leak right away after the washer starts, take the door apart and look at the vent. It can look just fine from the outside and that's deceiving. Someone else mentioned the 'leak' timing that finally got my attention and lead to the 'fix.'

Latch on soap dish was broken and needed to be replaced
The video was of great help. One area that gave me grief was placing the small part with points under the plastic mechanism in the door. I tried to push the points into the open slot. After watching the movie a few more times I was trying to put the part in backwards. A little more explanation at this point in the video would have been a tremendous help. Otherwise, thank you for the video.
