No door water, no ice. Ice maker humms . Where can I find schematic of water system. I think it is solonoid where ice comes in at bottom right. Not: my computer is in shop till Thursday.
For model number 5WSC20CAYY00
Hi OJ,
Thank you for your question. If you hear a humming noise coming from the ice maker, it may be filling with water. Sometimes it is normal to also hear humming or buzzing from the water inlet valve.
If the dispenser is not dispensing water or ice, you should check the water inlet valve, the ice maker and the dispenser control board. We have included a link where you may find information on how to test these parts. Once you have determined the part you need, please feel free to call customer service. We are open 7 days a week and anyone will be happy to assist you. We look forward to hearing from you!
I used a flat-head screwdriver to pop out the old light rocker switch. Then, I unplugged the wires, plugged them into the new light rocker switch, and then popped the new switch into the hole. That's it! Lights began working again.
An easy job for smaller hands. Removed the two bolts holding the light cover. Removed two electrical connections from the old switch by pinching the retaining clip, removed the switch, snapped in the new one and re-attached the connectors. Your online illustrations helped me to know that the plastic housing for the light switch would only swing down so far and was not intended to be removed. Saved me from breaking that plastic cover's tabs. This home repair saved me more than 5 times the cost of hiring a professional to do it. Very happy homeowner.
When aI received the hose adapter/connector, I inserted the 2 hose ends only to have water drip from the connection. I used a utility knife to remove an inch from each side, then reinserted the hoses. That made the differnce. Dry as a bone.
