Can this freezer be in the garage during winter months working
For model number 25328432809
Hi Debby,
Thank you for your question. It is not recommended to place an upright freezer in an unheated garage as they can stop working. They are not designed to work in extreme weather conditions. If you have any questions, please let us know. We are open 7 days a week. We look forward to hearing from you!

Hi there..my freezer seems to holding temp fine but the vent slot at the bottom of the back wall inside has completely frozen over solid and is completely blocked?
Approximately 4 months earlier we had moved the freezer about 4 foot to one side in the laundry room, can't recall how long after ( 1 week?) we did have some water underneath. Cleaned it up and it never came back.
I'm assuming the defrost cycle isn't working. One repair person I talked to said to replace the main control board. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Hi Scott, thank you for reaching out. We suggest testing the defrost heater first. The defrost heater should measure in the range of something like 10-50 ohms. We hope this information is useful!
Hi Henry, thank you for the question. Yes, the compressor could turn off. It cycles on and off to maintain the desired temperature, and it's normal for it to do so. The compressor turns on when the temperature inside the refrigerator or freezer rises above the set point and turns off when it reaches the desired temperature. We hope this information helps!

Does the gasket listed on your page fit my model for a Kenmore upright freezer?
For model number 25328432809
Hi Tracy,
Thank you for your question. The part number for the gasket is PS11770645. We hope this helps!
I accidently threw away both freezer keys to our upright Gibson and G.E. Freezers!!!! I had no luck finding replacements locally, so I got on the internet and came across PartSelect.com. I called them on the telephone; and after giving the model numbers of my freezers, the keys were on their way!! I received the keys very quickly and both worked perfectly. I would highly recommend Partselect.com. Charlotte M. Bishop
its best to use power screw driver lot of screws .took out all screws took off door took out side to remove ice from door. just used water to melt ice. took off old gasket and put on new gasket. put door in place and started screws in four coners do not tighten screws at this point.put in rest of screws. work arondclock wise making sure gasket is seated while tighing screws. check gasket for flatness you may have to use hair dryer on gasket to make it flat.
Simply unscrew panel but do not remove it. Remove old gasket. Fit new gasket between panel and door. Fasten screws and no more leaks and better temperature contol. This was so easy and rejuvenated my freezer. Thank you for quick shipment, great service, easy to navigate website, and fast phone help. I highly recommend your company. good luck with your repairs that you can do, as I have zero mechanical ability and did it !!!!
