I was lucky in that I already had an ice maker and just had to replace the unit. The parts and instructions were complete and easy to follow. Installation was a breeze with no concerns at all. The new unit is working flawlessly and we are very happy with the results. Thank you for supplying a quality replacement and excellent support via the instructions. The service was outstanding and I had my unit in about 3 days!!!

Switch was not working after a repairman had fixed something else
Please bear in mind I am 65 years old & it was harder to get up & down off the floor then to change the switch. Was very easy - watched video, unplugged unit. I used the putty knife at the right front corner to work loose, when it came loose had to loose the left side a little. The unit pulled out easily. detached the wired that had a single plug with 2 prongs on it. Attached the plug, pushed new switch into place. There was no way you could place wires on wrong prong. When done, plugged refrigerator back in & checked if working. I CAN SEE THE LIGHT and the food in the freezer now. Thank you for making an easy repair.

I had broken my crisper cover.
I simply took the glass cover from the package. It came packaged really well. Thank You so much for that! I was concerned about breakage. Once it was released for packaging, I simply slipped it into place in the refrigerator. It was very easy.

Had to "bump" the thermostat enclosure to get Fridge to cycle ON and OFF
It's easy IF you have a 1/4" nut driver that is not too FAT. My first driver WAS too fat and it would not fit up the narrow plastic tunnel to reach the screw, and the screw has no slot so you can't use a screwdriver. The part shipped without directions, but on-line HELP explained everything clearly. I panicked at first because the Fridge did NOT kick on immediately after turning the new thermostat ON. There must be some sort of "waiting period" in the compressor that doesn't allow quick recycling. That scared me, so I re-installed the OLD thermostat, and it worked, so I re-installed the NEW unit, waited a few minutes, and it turned on and has worked flawlessly now for several days.

evap. fan very noisy
The repair was very easy, unplug ref. open freezer door, and remove base plate, then remove screws on back plate. I had to tilt top of back plate to remove from freezer. This gives you access to the evap. fan Pull of the three wires, and remove screws from fan bracket, which bolts to the back of ref. Remove fan motor from bracket (2) screws, remove motor, and put replacement motor on bracket, pull fan blade off old unit and push on new motor shaft. Reverse the installation, and you are done. Pretty easy.

leaky ice maker/black flakes in ice
The repair was super easy and the part worked like a charm. I love my new ice maker! I had to take out the top freezer shelf just so I could fit my head in the freezer to find one screw, but otherwise all went fine. Ice maker is held on with two top screws and one bottom screw. Loosen the two top screws, remove the bottom screw and lift out the ice maker. It plugs into wires on the inside, back of the freezer so this has to be unplugged. Plug in the wires for the new one, slide it down onto the two top, loose screws, tighten those and screw in the bottom one, replace freezer shelves and you are ready for ice...with no huge iceberg fouling up the ice in your ice cube tray. Simple! The wiring thing worried me when others described it, but it's no harder than plugging in a lamp, really. If I can do it, anybody who can stand on a shorty ladder can do it.
