Hello Christopher, thank you for reaching out. The part that likely needs to be replaced is the defrost control board, also known as the adaptive defrost control board (ADC). This board manages the compressor, evaporator fan, and defrost cycle. When it fails, it can cause the refrigerator to freeze food and then stop cooling until it’s unplugged and plugged back in, which temporarily resets the board and restarts the compressor. The part number is PS372261. We hope this solves your problem!

Kenmore coldSpot Model 10644073600 side by Side. Fridge goes to 32 freezes fruit. Then temp will go to 40, I assume that's when defrost is on. I had some spare parts. This is what I tried but no luck. Swapped out thermostat, control board, defrost thermostat & air diffuser damper looks good. I started to notice a little bit of frost on freezer wall. probably getting to warm at some point then refreezing . Never seen anything like this before ? Thanks again

Hi Chris, thank you for reaching out. Since you have replaced the thermostats, control board, and damper, the defrost heater, part number PS11740458, is a highly probable cause. A faulty defrost heater causes temperature fluctuations, freezing food, and frost buildup by allowing ice to block the airflow between the freezer and fridge compartments. The system runs irregularly to compensate, causing uneven cooling and localized freezing. We would recommend replacing it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!

My refrigerator stopped cooling and the freezer section stopped freezing
I knew the chances of all the freon leaking out was unlikely so I looked at the wiring to the compressor and there was a capacitor and a starter/overload so i figured I would start there. I went on line and found the parts at this site and they were less than the minimum service call charge for a service tech so I figured what the heck let's give her a shot so I did give it a shot. I ordered the parts and they were there in less time than a service tech could come out and i installed the parts and guess what for 90.00 in parts and 15 minutes in time I repaired my refrigerator. Thanks guys, It took less time to order the parts than it did to make the repair so thanks, your website rocks and is very well designed so my hat is off to you guys!
