The part arrived promptly but was defective. Upon learning of the problem by PartSelect a new part was shipped and was delivered incredibly quickly. Bad odor and rusty ice cubes. Auger had rusted and should have been covered by GE
Removed the old ice bucket assembly and dumped the contents. Removed four screws from the face plate and reinstalled it to the new ice bucket kit. Back in business.

Ice crusher was broken, putting plastic in ice.

Rust Flakes In Ice
Removed ice buscket from freezer, removed 4 screws holding front cover on, set aside old ice bucket, set new ice bucket in place and reinstalled screws, putback in freezer, done. Maybee ten minutes.
