Caloric Range Surface Infinite Switch

Caloric Range Infinite Switch Proper control of an electric burner depends on the infinite switch working correctly. A failed switch may keep the element from heating, prevent it from shutting off, or hold it at one temperature. Check the element and connections before ordering a replacement. Match the switch to the complete range model and burner location because similar switches may have different ratings. Disconnect power at the breaker, confirm the appliance is not live, and have a qualified technician complete the repair if the wiring is unclear.

A black rocker switch gives the user simple on-and-off control from the appliance panel. Depending on the appliance, it may operate an oven light or an exhaust fan. Pressing either side of the switch opens or closes the electrical circuit. Replacement may be needed if the switch sticks, feels loose, or no longer turns the connected feature on. Shut off electrical power at the breaker or unplug the appliance before beginning the repair. Wear work gloves and label each wire before disconnecting the old switch.
