How to replace a dryer's drum support rollers:

Note:
Disconnect the power source to your dryer before you conduct this or any other repair. Either unplug the unit from the wall outlet, remove the appropriate fuse from the fuse box, or flip the appropriate breaker in the circuit breaker panel.

A dryer's drum support rollers are essentially in the same spot on every dryer, regardless of a dryer's brand. Support rollers are installed below the drum. In order to gain access to and remove your dryer's drum support rollers, you will have to open your dryer's cabinet, and remove its drum. If you haven't done so already, open your dryer now. See the link below if you need directions.

You might notice that the roller on the left is more worn than the one on the right. This is actually quite common, but both rollers do need to be replaced at the same time. They may be held in place with either a nut or a simple spring clip. Remove the nut (or clip) before you remove the roller.

Discard the worn drum support rollers and replace with new ones. Use only one drop of oil on the hub. Over-oiling will lead to an accumulation of dust and lint, which can shorten the life of your rollers.

Replace your dryer's drum, reassemble the cabinet, and restore power to the unit. Run your dryer through a cycle to ensure it is operating as it should.
