was the correct part & it worked as expected
I would encourage part select to ensure there is a picture of each part they sell, so the consumer can do a visual A/B comparison of the faulty part vs. the new part

When i turn the knob to the setting i want and i push the start button, i hear a click but the dryer does not come on. Is this the switch on the control panel that needs to be replaced?
For model number Maytag MGDC300XW1
Hello Shelley, thank you for your question. When this happens, the issue is usually either the PartSelect Number PS11741701 door switch, PartSelect Number PS11748542 Push to start switch or the drive motor PartSelect Number PS334304. I would recommend starting by testing the door switch and push to start switch. If those are tested/replaced and the issue continues we would recommend testing the thermostats, before ordering the motor. The bias thermostat must open before the motor will turn on, so if the internal bias thermostat, PartSelect Number PS11745959, doesn't open, the dryer won't start. I hope this helps!
