Can the thermostat in the ice maker be replaced? It’s making ice, but will not eject from ice maker. Fridge model number is RS25H5111SR

Hello Steve, thank you for getting in touch. According to our research, you may need to replace ice maker assembly, part number PS9494295, to fix the issue. There is an ice ejector in the ice maker assembly. If it got damaged, ice would not dispense. We hope that helps!

Hello John, Thank you for reaching out. This could indicate the filter is old or clogged and needs to be changed. If the filter has been changed int he last 6 months, you may have a faulty water valve. To test a refrigerator water inlet valve, use a multimeter to check for continuity and resistance between the valve's terminals, ensuring a reading between 100 and 500 ohms. Also try to defrost the appliance to make sure the water line is not frozen and blocking water flow. If everything checks out, you may need to replace the ice maker. If the icemaker mold is empty, you can manually pour about 4 ounces of cold water in the icemaker mold. Wait about 3 hours. If the icemaker makes ice and ejected the icemaker itself is working. ICE Maker stopped working. Looking for guidance as to what is needed to determine why and fix.

Hi Michael, thank you for the question. We would suggest checking the water filter for clogging first. If it is fine, the issue could be with the water inlet valve, part number PS4146914. It supplies water to the refrigerator ice maker. If the ice maker will not get water, it will stop working. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
