Good afternoon, I have a problem with my refrigerator...all works but it looks like the compressor doesn't start when I plug it. I notice that when I plug the refrigerator there is a noise in 942-943 part (your map) and it looks like that it doesn't make the refrigerator start, and when I move the temperature in the fridge side does the same noise. I think the part is named solenoid. Can you help me please? Do you think the solenoid is the problem that doesn't make the refrigerator start? thank you in advance.
For model number PFE29PSDASS
Hello Alejandro, Thank you for the question. The 942 and 943 are reversing valves. A reversing valve a type of valve and is a component in a fridge, that changes the direction of refrigerant flow. By reversing the flow of refrigerant, the fridge refrigeration cycle is changed from cooling to heating or vice versa. They should not effect the compressor from turning on and off. You may need to check the Inverter Board, PartSelect Number PS11767923 on the compressor. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

Hi,
Does the reversing value part# 942 & 943 affect the condenser fan from running?
thanks
vinod

Hello Vinod, thank you for writing. They are valves that change the direction of refrigerant flow and are a part of the cooling and heating cycle. It sounds as though you may need to replace the Condenser Fan Motor, part number PS8690738 for your model. Good luck with your repair!

After plugging my GE (Part# PWE23KMKBES) frig back in or when power goes out and turns back on, it takes longer than 5 minutes to start the compressor/condenser and to work normal now. It makes a clicking sound then goes quiet after power is back to it. After unplugging and plugging back in a few times after an hour of trying the frig finally started. By the way, I've noticed it takes the frig longer to start working after each power interruption. After finally starting, the frig works and cools just fine. Is there a start relay or capacitor that is failing?

The freezer only gets down to 50 degrees and refrigerator on top only gets to 42 degrees. Refrigerator on top set to 37 and freezer on bottom set to 0
It was working fine until I unplugged to pull away from wall to clean behind. When plugged back in compressor came on , but will not cool or freeze at temperature set at. I was told it was wr86x10094 valve
For model number GFE28GELIDS
Hi Harold, thank you for reaching out. Based on our understanding, the issue is not with this valve, we would suggest cleaning the condenser coils properly. If the issue persists, you may need to replace the temperature sensor, part number PS304103. We hope this sorts out your problem!

I did ask a question before on same issue. I will ask again a little different.
The fridge on top cools down to 41 set at 37 degrees. Freezer on bottom is not cooling at all and fan in freezer does run . Freezer compartment warm.
Like I said fridge on top cools and freezer on bottom warm
For model number GFE28GELIDS
Hi Harold, Thank you for reaching out again. We suggest checking the Condenser Fan that is located down at the compressor. It will keep the compressor cool. If its not running properly it will throw off the temperature in the appliance starting with the freezer. If it is not running with the compressor it will need to be replaced. This fan is separate from the freezer fan. We hope this information helps!

Thanks for responding to my question. Ok, I will check the "inverter control board, part number PS12345457" as you stated. By the way, I also noticed that the green led light on the Electronic Control Board WR55X38248 is flashing 1 time. Does that mean there is an error or normal operation?
For model number PWE23KMKBES
Hello William, Thank you for contacting us. The green light is supposed to flash on the main control board, but if it is only flashing once and then does not come back on, you may want to check this board as well for any loose connections or visible damage. If it is flashing continuously or stays green steadily, then it is functioning normally. We hope this helps.
